A Relaxed Team Branding Shoot with Kakapo Business Sales

A Relaxed Team Branding Shoot with Kakapo Business Sales

Branding shoots aren’t just about the photos — they’re about the people in them.

We recently photographed a small but mighty team part of Kakapo Business Sales, a mother and daughter-in-law duo, in their home office. Shooting in a familiar space made a big difference, especially for the mum, who found being in front of the camera a bit uncomfortable at first.

This is where having a support person really shines.

Her daughter-in-law was incredible at gently encouraging her, keeping things light, and helping her push through those initial nerves. Having someone you trust in the room can completely change how a session feels — more relaxed, more natural, and far less intimidating.

We moved through their home office, kitchen, and living room, using the spaces they actually work in day to day. That familiarity helped the session flow and allowed us to capture genuine interactions rather than forced poses.

By the end of the shoot, confidence had grown, smiles came more easily, and the images felt true to who they are — professional, approachable, and a great team.

If the idea of a branding shoot makes you nervous, bringing a support person along (if you can) is always a great option. Comfort creates confidence — and confidence photographs beautifully.
