If there’s one thing I’ve learnt as an Auckland wedding photographer, it’s that no two wedding days are ever the same — and Logan and Jasmine’s celebration at Settlers Country Manor absolutely proved that. This day had everything: sunshine, joy, a loved-up couple… and one of the biggest downpours I’ve ever seen at a wedding.
A Gentle, Warm, Completely In-Love Couple
From the moment I arrived, Logan and Jasmine brought such a calm, loving energy to the day. They’re the sweetest couple — gentle, kind, and totally wrapped up in one another. I’d photographed their couple session beforehand, so slipping in with their bridal party felt effortless. It meant we could get those fun, relaxed moments naturally, without the awkward warm-up time.
Their friends and family matched their vibe perfectly: warm, welcoming, and absolutely ready to celebrate.
Auckland Weather Doing Its Thing
Now… let’s talk about that weather.
Settlers Country Manor is an iconic Auckland wedding venue, known for its beautiful gardens, charming buildings, and peaceful rural setting. But on this particular day? The skies decided to put on a show. A sudden, heavy downpour hit out of nowhere — the kind you only see a few times a year — and the venue’s back lawn filled up so fast it overflowed.
Not everyone can say their wedding venue literally flooded mid-day… but Logan and Jasmine can! And honestly, they took it like absolute legends. Not a single complaint, just laughter, joy, and a “this will be a great story for later” vibe.
The rain eventually cleared, leaving everything feeling fresh, bright, and glowing — the perfect backdrop for their portraits.
Fun, Relaxed Bridal Party Vibes
One of my favourite parts of the day was photographing their bridal party. Because I’d already spent time with Logan and Jasmine at their pre-wedding session, the whole group dynamic was so easy. We got a mix of candid fun, natural moments, and those gorgeous editorial-style shots that Settlers Country Manor is perfect for.
The venue’s brick walls, arches, gardens, and indoor spaces gave us heaps of variety despite the chaos the weather threw our way.
