Kiri town
Ode to sweet
‘Ode to Sweet’ – nick names Kiri town, since that’s what my wife named the lightroom album. I instantly warmed to the name and am now coining it in tow with the shoot haha. I am attracted to the happenstance for things. Is it serendipitous? I googled it. It sure is. I’m super into that kind of thing. Almost the joy of life is like that, especially humour, I love it when it’s sweet surprises.
That lead me on this shoot. I had an idea of wanting to do something expressive with attitude, a range of showy, playful and genuine emotion. So got hold of Kiri-Ann and we did a shoot together at the Silo Park in Auckland. We were going for a sunrise since just before daylight savings, so sun rise was late, super slothful morning of 7.40am. (I have young children so, I get to count on one hand how many times I’m out of bed after sun up).
I’m always super precious after shoot, thinking that I didn’t do well and I should’ve done better and I get scared I failed. Probably very common for everyone. After going through the images it was a pleasant surprise! I quite like how they turned out. I’m hoping I can maybe add some graphics later. Or I might not. We’ll see.
