Forest Fun with a Family of Five

Laid-back vibes & loads of love in Riverhead Forest

This beautiful family of five brought all the warmth, fun, and connection to their Riverhead Forest session. We kept the energy playful and relaxed — no stiff poses, just real moments.

Riverhead is one of our favourite spots for Auckland family photography: the towering trees, filtered light, and peaceful trails make it feel like a little escape — perfect for families wanting something natural and timeless.
We captured plenty of classic portraits (yes, we even got all five smiling at once!) but also leaned into those candid, in-between moments that show off their real family dynamic — piggyback rides, tree-stump climbing, and sibling snuggles.

If you’re based in West Auckland or Kumeu and looking for a family photographer who keeps things stress-free and fun, Wonderferris might be just your cup of tea.
