A warm summer evening, a sweet couple, and the excitement of welcoming a new baby — this maternity session with Wonderferris had all the good vibes.
This shoot came about through a gift voucher, kindly given by mutual friends who wanted to treat this lovely couple to something special before their little one arrived. It’s always extra meaningful when sessions are gifted — it feels like stepping into a moment that carries a bit of love from someone else.
When we arrived, it was one of those classic cool summer evenings where the light hits just right. The air had that relaxed warmth to it, and the soft breeze made everything feel even more peaceful — perfect for maternity photography.
The couple were a little nervous to begin with (which is totally normal!), but also completely ready for whatever I threw at them. Within minutes they loosened up, trusted the process, and the magic happened. There were laughs, sweet little moments, and that beautiful anticipation you can’t fake when parents-to-be look at each other and realise how close they are to meeting their baby.
We wrapped up the session genuinely buzzing — all of us excited to see the photos. And honestly? The images captured everything: the connection, the softness, the joy, and the quiet in-between moments that make maternity photography so meaningful.
