Giselle and Christian’s beautiful wedding at The Officers Mess in Fort Takapuna was one of those days that remind me why I love being an Auckland wedding photographer. Full of warmth, kindness, and quiet confidence, their celebration felt deeply personal and effortlessly elegant.
These two are the kind of couple who make everyone around them feel at ease. Both gentle and encouraging, they radiated genuine care and joy throughout the day. Their friends and family shared that same easygoing, thoughtful energy — such a lovely group to spend time with.
The Officers Mess made for the perfect setting — timeless architecture, a stunning coastal backdrop, and plenty of space for laughter and connection. Even when the weather decided to keep us on our toes with a few cheeky showers, it only added to the charm. The soft, diffused light was absolutely gorgeous and gave the photos a beautiful, romantic glow.
One of my favourite moments? When Giselle and Christian gifted me some Belgian chocolate to take home and share with my wife — such a simple but incredibly thoughtful gesture. It perfectly summed up who they are: kind, generous, and full of heart.
