Piha Rescue my heart

Extended Family shoots are a different breed. When you start adding multiple families and the ratio for the photographer starts to dwindle, families start to kick into their own dynamics. They feel comfortable since there’s a crowd of all their loved ones. Which is great, mostly, as long as the family are relatively positive, just these guys. Was such a good looking bunch too!

Had the joy of getting amongst it at Piha, my least visited west coast beach I’d say. As with extended family shoot they all come in with their quirks, some kids are on different wave lengths. Makes the parents work extra hard to get all the smiles in haha. They all did so well and the photos turned out real nice.

This was great to see the parents playing and got such good movement happening with kiss and swung around. It’s all too easy with all the hustle and bustle so kids don’t feel so much on show with all so many friendly faces around to distract them. Which is great so I’m less of a foreign entity.
