A Personal Branding Shoot with Designer Katie from Jabberwocky Creative

Every branding session starts a little differently — and this one was no exception.

Katie from Jabberwocky Creative came into her shoot with plenty of energy and ideas, feeling a bit frenetic to begin with. We leaned into it, popped on some music she loved, and almost instantly the vibe shifted. Music has a funny way of helping people settle into their bodies, loosen up, and stop overthinking — and from there, the shoot flowed.

One of the standout things about this session was how well Katie planned her props. She kept things beautifully minimal, bringing in green heels and a green chair — both perfectly aligned with her brand colour. Small details like this make a huge difference in personal branding imagery, giving the photos cohesion and a clear visual identity.

The result was a set of images that feel creative, confident, and unmistakably her. By the end of the session, Katie loved the shots — and you can now see them live on her website (definitely worth a look).

This shoot was a great reminder that when clients bring a bit of themselves into the process — through music, colour, or props — the images become stronger, more memorable, and far more effective for their brand.

If you’re planning a branding shoot, thoughtful details and a little music can go a long way.
